SCA – The Resourceful Sailor Keeps it Analog
In an age where the general inclination seems to be to always go digital, it’s sometimes good to ask:
“Do I really want to?” “Do I have choices?” “What’s my cost/benefit ratio?” “Will it make me more dependent or independent?” “Why do I sail?”
The Resourceful Sailor prefers to disconnect when at sea. The natural wind and waves, the marine life, the space to think, and to feel free and be my own person. This installment highlights a choice I made on Sampaguita when there were a plethora of modern devices and apps, sometimes costly, whether directly or indirectly, but always bright and shiny, to lure one in.
Maybe you have a choice, too.
