This is the S/V CARLYN docked at Shilshole Bay Marina in Seattle. I am working on this boat for the spring of 2019 as Mate/Nautical Educator for Salish Sea Expeditions, a boat-based, scientific inquiry forum for youths.

We started with 5th graders this week locally. I will be on the boat from tomorrow night through Sunday night. There is a 6 person crew. I thought you would get a kick out of Albany.

Josh, Is this larger than the one you crewed on in the race ? It’s cool that it was made in Albany . Was it trucked or sailed to Seattle ? Are you excited to be working on a larger vessel ? Wishing you good sailing on this new adventure . Dad

Yes. this is the largest boat I have sailed. I can only guess, but likely trucked.
